Unusual video from me but I guess I had to try this game because it seemed interesting. I'm not really a big fan of Lowiro's practices with copyright strikes and Arcaea. It just didn't appeal to me. But maybe I could give it a third chance if I ever play it on a tablet. Now this game... It's called In Falsus. Seems like a sequel to Arcaea of some sorts with the unnecessary story that only like... 10 people care about. My point is. If you will convey a story to me do it during songs not through long unskippable VN cutscenes. Thats what the demo did to me but later on it prompted me to choose if I want to focus on scenario or gameplay. I wish this prompt appeared before the cutscene. Because if you know me I almost always don't care about a story if the gameplay is the focus. Like in rhythm games or shmups. Where in many shmups mind you, the story telling is done vaguely through the gameplay. Another rhythm game does this with Cytus 1. In which it has 10 songs that have storyboards inbetween the gameplay, this is fine because they are brief compared to whatever this is. Story rant aside. The gameplay is actually nice. I love the way it controls. While I do think that the game didn't really need 4 blue lanes. I guess it's just some sort of artificial difficulty to keep you on your toes with your finger placement. You have to move your ring, middle and index fingers from ASD to SDF sometimes and the charts are built around them. you got the angled lanes which are shift and space. The gimmick of the game is the line above it which is controlled with your mouse. You can move it horizontally and you dont really need to click anything. Reminds me of the slider from dynamix. It feels nice to use. There are also flick notes on that lane and they feel so satisfying to hit. I'm kind of a noob on this and my dexterity isn't the best. So maybe it's just a skill issue but will see. The music selection is alright. Just nothing really caught my eye. The song I'm playing tho is nice. I wish modern rhythm games had more varied genres not only just electronic/assortment of dubstep with random cringe samples. My only motivation to buy this is if I see recognizable artists or if the game gives you the option to remove the gacha AI girls from the game and play the game without any sort of effect or ability going on. Because I repeat, I simply do not care about the story nor the cards or whatever. I just want to play the rhythm game.
