The switchgrass in our area is normally under 2 to 3 feet of snow by late winter so looking for where the deer are bedding in it during the winter is a bit of a moot point.  But given we are having the most mild winter I've ever experienced this year, the deer have been able to utilize the switchgrass throughout the entire winter.
