All the sounds in the video are from a Yamaha SY99 utilizing the SYN WAVE 2 voicedata and waveform cards I recently purchased on eBay, with the exception of the drum sounds (which are from a Roland JD-Xi). The Yamaha SY99 is routed through Eventide TimeFactor and SPACE pedals because, let's be honest, the FX processors in these older digital synths leave a lot to be desired. I've owned the little brother, the SY77, since 1991. A few years ago I bought the SY99 for next to nothing. I always wanted one when I was a kid. I put a new LED blue screen in it, fixed the belt in the floppy drive, and have been enjoying this flagship in Yamaha's impressive synthesizer history ever since. These are truly underrated synthesizers capable of an incredibly wide range of sounds and textures. I'm working on a bank of analog emulations at the moment. The resonant filters combined with AFM synthesis (Advanced Frequency Modulation) provide a great starting point for virtual analog.
