Follow my adventure as I run the famous Bigfoot 200 miles ultra marathon - the second race of the Triple Crown of 200 miles. Please support me on Patreon: / runningwithsimon Bigfoot 200 is one of the most brutal 200 miles ultra marathon in the world! Technical trail, climbs, extreme weather, river crossing. What's more, I'm coming in not fully recovered from an injury that has been plaguing my 2025 season. 3 months of rehab but I'm still struggling. And importantly, that's 3 months without proper training - focusing instead on physiotherapy, healing, mobility, range of motion...but not fitness. Not the best coming in such a difficult race. But the views...wow! Brace yourself for some amazing footage in 4k! The race sadly did not go as plan. At all. I rolled my ankles several times within the first 12 miles - and eventually sprained it. With ~190 miles to go, I decided to at least make it to the next aid station roughly 26 miles further. Although I could manage in a good time - it was clear that my sprain was serious enough to warrant a DNF. This was a heartbreaking decision, but the right one. With likely 3 more days and nights to go, I'd most certainly have aggravated the injury - compounding an already hardeous recovery timetable. Still, my first DNF after completing 58 of 58 x 100 milers is tough. Whether you’re curious about 200s, training for a Destination Trail race, or just love stories from the edge of human endurance, this one’s for you. As always - Thanks for watching and remember - Work Hard! Believe in yourself! Push your limits!
