He says, “I’m Al Noraker for KastKIng and I’m out here ice fishing today with my ice fishing, buddy Milly and, we’re using the brand new KastKIng Konvert ice rods. Now these rods are awesome. There are actually two rods in one, because both rods come with two tips. The series is called Konvert, but we have two series: this is the all glass series it’s called Linear Ice and it comes with both a medium and a medium light action tip. This happens to be the medium light, and you see how soft that tip is. It’s almost like a spring bobber perfect for smaller fish, pan fish, crappie, blue gill. “That type of thing where you need to detect that really light bite. Great rod for that, but you’ll also notice has a very strong butt section, so I can really penetrate those hooks and even handle larger fish if that comes to pass. One thing that you’ll notice about these. They’re very easy to take apart, so they’re actually two piece rods. Like I said: two different tips, a medium and a medium light. “The Linear Ice series again is all glass and it has this pencil style handle. No reel seat, has two power bands to hold your reel in place, and you can actually move the reel back and forth on the handle wherever you want to balance. Whether it’s a spinning reels, inline reels, virtually anything you want. I like to hold it in a pencil style like this, especially when I’m jigging really, really light lures like this little finesse jig that I’ve got on here. “Now it’s a little marabou type jig, but works great with that super light tip you’ll Also notice that bright orange strike tip. When I’m in an ice hut like this and I’ve got kind of low light conditions, that bright orange strike tip really shows up really well. So that’s the Linear Ice series, all glass, no reel seat, two power bands on a pencil style, cool candle. “The other one that I’ve got in this other hole I’m, actually jigging a little more aggressively. You’ve got this bigger spoon like this okay and I’m using here, this is the Hard Water Ice Series; 100 graphite IM6. You’ll notice that these have that nice, bright, chartreuse strike, tip and again two tip sections, so the one I’m using right here is a medium action. “It also comes with a medium light. Okay, now the medium action is a little bit better for a little more aggressive, jigging, like with bigger spoons like this or small jigging wraps that type of thing great for walleye, bigger trout, any little bit larger fish, really strong butt section you see, has a nice fishable tip both of the series are 27 inches long when they’re assembled and put together, but the great part is they pack down into this little tube only 17 inches long. Not only does it protect your rods in between use or maybe when you’re traveling in a backpack in my ice sled that type of thing, but it packs down so nice and small. “I can carry it just about any place and very safely.
