This Video was shot in June of 2017, I believe I was the first person to install a V-Twin on the this frame setup, Anyways shorty after this video the chain came apart with about 5 hours of run time and let the boat sit for about 8 months (busy with other projects) I have since replaced the sprockets and chain with a 30mm cog belt and pulley setup, The gearing is now 1- 1.143 and the boat has much better hole shot and the 9.5 prop is spinning 4500 plus rpm (valves floating at 4600 ) running 24mph up river and 26 down at 4300RPM, Currently waiting for stiffer valve springs and a bigger prop, more updates to come… Update, I installed the bigger prop to get the RPM's down that worked but then It smoked a bearing and destroyed the drive shaft, There are three bearing in the lower unit on the driveshaft to the prop no seals and several ways for water to get in... all the bearing are junk after about 7 hours of run time... Now I'm in the process of making a new driveshaft switching to better bearings and try to seal the lower unit from water... If I can figure out how keep the water out maybe it will last a while?
