That is how we are going to approach music making in this course. Normally I would recommend working with just the built in tools and samples that come bundled with your DAW. However, for teaching purposes this isn’t the best approach since we’d then all be working with different tools and samples. So to accommodate everyone (and to limit ourselves even further) we will all use the same free samples and plugins decided by myself. To emulate the “physical studio” we’ll bring our tools in one by one, learn them, practice with them, and eventually use them to make a song. I understand that this is old school and you might already have a lot of plugins that you’re dying to use. But trust me this approach will help focus you and make working with those additional plugins a lot easier in the future.
