Rosebud--no grocery store, not a gas station, no motel, not a restaurant in town. So, why do 40,000 people a year come? One reason. To watch top quality theatre. Started as a music summer camp in early '70's, formed an art school in '77, a full-fledged professional music theatre in '88, & a fine arts & theatre apprenticeship program in '91. Today it also caters to banquets & weddings. Droves drive on a day trip from Calgary, across the province, & across the country. We visited the museum & realized the town has an original farming & ranching story. We biked the old Goose Lake Line--bumpy, but it gives you a real sense of the Canadian prairie. Come along...
