The rain sounds were a happy accident and actually part of the recording. I think they complement the icicles well since they are made from rain and water melting and freezing. For this piece I wanted to experiment with a drier overall painting style where I layered colors on the canvas and didn't blend much at all. The more I paint the more I notice patterns in what attracts my eye. Right now its color, texture, light. I'm still not really interested in obsessing about minor details, just exploring color and composition and the overall feel of a painting. I hope you enjoy this.
