TRANSPARENT vs. OPAQUE Colors: How I USE them in my PAINTINGS

Within this video we are going to be finishing up the painting of this rose. I often use transparent paint within my works because I like to apply the paint lightly and use subtractive drawing techniques for my highlights, mid tones, and textures. But there are plenty of times when opaque (and semi-opaque) colors are better for the job- at least for me anyway. So within this video I'll show you how I use the 2 and how I can make a color opaque by adding white into the mixture. The opacity is going to depend on how much opaque color (in this case white) is added to the mix.
