I am here to condole with you martyrdom of Ustad Mazari, the visionary, brave and determined leader of Hizb-e-Wahdat-e-Islami. I consider Ustad’s martyrdom as a great loss to our nation. Our nation was in need of a personality like him in the past; and even today it needs him. The vacuum that he left has not been filled. I always appreciate the qualities of his leadership. He was a man of great determination, also tolerant and open-minded. He rose from the ranks of ordinary people and was always on the side of his people. In the most difficult circumstances, he did not leave his people. He was the last person to leave Afshar, after its downfall. He was trend-setter for those who sought justice. All of our people were confronting tyranny. Ustad Mazari insisted on unity among the nation. His struggle was for the integration of Afghan nation. He was of the belief that the crisis in Afghanistan has no military solution. No group can rule Afghanistan with the help of weapons. He emphasized on intra-Afghan dialogue; developing consensus on everlasting ceasefire; formation of a transitionary government acceptable for all the stakeholders; valuing the votes of the people and conducting election. I pray God have mercy on us and bless our suffering people with his boundless blessings; the fire of war should subside, and the dreams of our martyrs, especially of our great martyr, Shaheed Mazari, may be realized in a free Afghanistan.
