Dalit Youth Beaten To Death Over Love Affair In Rajasthan, BJP Questions Congress' Silence

A Dalit youth was allegedly thrashed to death by a group of men in Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh district over his love affair. A video has gone viral, in which some men were seen thrashing a young Dalit man with sticks. He was brutally beaten and after his death, his body was thrown in front of his house on Thursday. Meanwhile, the case has led to political outrage with leaders from several parties condemning the incident. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati attacked the Congress government in Rajasthan and said that the incident in Hanumangarh was unfortunate and condemnable. The BJP also launched a scathing attack on Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. The party's Hanumangarh district president Balveer Bishnoi said, “The Congress government, which talks about giving protection to the Dalits, is a complete failure. These kinds of incidents are coming to the fore every day. The law and order has completely collapsed.
