Summer 2019 - High Country Trip - Episode 1 Bright to Mt Sunday

Part one of three we enjoyed a fairly relaxed few days to start the trip. Kieran and I have a late night run down from Sydney and pull up stumps in the early hours of the morning outside of Yackandandah. We then make our way up the Buckland Valley and over towards the King River via Abeyards, Lake Cobbler and Mt Speculation. After meeting up with the rest of the crew for Australia day on the King River we start to make our way south. A quick look at Craigs Hut and Mt Stirling then over to Bluff Hut after which we start to find some more challenging tracks. Crossing the Upper Jamieson River took us onto Nobs track which is in quite a deteriorated but fun condition, then eventually made it to the Mt Sunday Heli Pad just in time for sunset, ready to prepare for a big day on Mt Sunday Rd the following day.
