In this episode, Dan continues his preparation for the upcoming Hyrox event in Chicago by focusing on interval training. As he works through his track workout, Dan shares his intentions and approach to training, balancing his Hyrox fitness goal with his commitment to running the NYC marathon on behalf of City Harvest. The next day, Dan heads to the Endorphins Shakeout run, where he talks about the importance of community and what it means to be a leader in the fitness space. He then meets with his running coach, Tom Black, to discuss the week leading up to the NYC marathon and to fine-tune his strategy to stay prepared for Chicago Hyrox. Dan and Joey Miuccio prep their pre-race fuel before heading to the start line on New York City Marathon day. As the captain of City Harvest's marathon team, Dan is dedicated to raising awareness for their mission to combat food insecurity. During the marathon, Dan prioritizes pacing and endurance, sharing that afterward, he stayed mindful not to let his ego drive him to PR.
