We visited our local National Trust, Tyntesfield, to find out just how vegan-friendly their cafés have become. With over 50% of the menu now vegan, we were curious: is the food actually any good? Can you spend a fully vegan day out at a National Trust site without bringing your own picnic? In this video we take you along for a chilled out food-filled day. Exploring the flower gardens, kitchen gardens, the fields and grounds, and (most importantly) testing out the plant-based options we could find. From vegan pasties and sandwiches to tea, scones and cake, we’re sharing what surprised us, what we loved, and whether this is a sign of real change across National Trust cafés in the UK. As we wander through the beautiful National Trust Tyntesfield grounds, we share our honest thoughts on the plant-based offerings, including what foods and drinks impressed us and what we think could improve their menu to be even better for vegan visitors.
