Steve Christie of Vintage Keys Studio demonstrates our Hammond M100 (Model number M102) from 1967. In the video we see the Hammond as is (through its main amp and reverb amp) and then using a modified output, bypassing the onboard speakers, using an 8 ohm 10 watt resistor as a dummy load, and then out via another resistor to a jack, via a mic splitting transformer (backwards), into the auxiliary input on the C3 preamp, and out into the Leslie 760! Steve has also wired a Leslie tremolo control switch (also attached to the c3). For an added growl, we also insert an old converted L100 preaamp into the chain. Hey ho - nothing catches fire in this film so all is good. Please do not try to connect valve amps together unless you know what you are doing, as there are parts that can cause fires and parts inside that WILL kill you. Dead. Mics used are: Oktava MK012 (x 2) on the Hammond Console, vocal mic Edge Solo (Antelope Audio) and a cheap and cheerful CPC dynamic bass drum mic on the Leslie cab. Video and Editing by Louisa Revolta of Vintage Keys Studio film department. Includes a promo film made by Steve in 2003 for his track 'The Tomorrow Pylons' from the album 'Children's Television Themes From A Parallel Dimension' See https://stevechristieswrong.bandcamp.... Video and soundtrack is (C) 2021 Vintage Keys Studio.
