Camera setup by Barry Wilmore Original timelapse by Riccardo Rossi (ISAA - Italian Space and Astronautics Association) - CC-BY 4.0 License - Raw photos courtesy of the Earth Science and Remote Sensing Unit, NASA Johnson Space Center http://eol.jsc.nasa.gov/ ID from ISS071-E-532089 to ISS071-E-535754 & from ISS071-E-535755 to ISS071-E-539422 Music: Ambient Meditation by Bulbasound - CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 License - https://www.jamendo.com/track/1778805... Starting from approximately 7,300 photographs taken from the International Space Station by Barry Wilmore on August 9th, we created this #timelapse. This is a long #ISS journey from the Sahara to the Sea of Japan (or East Sea). Despite an extensive cloud front over Kazakhstan, the entire sequence is quite captivating. "Butch" set up a second downward-facing camera to capture close-up details of the ground, and we have alternated between both perspectives in the final edit. The video covers a 30-minute timeframe and is accelerated by approximately 3 times compared to the Station's real speed. -------------- The AstronautiCAST YouTube channel is run by passionate volunteers on an unpaid basis.
