Steps to Create a Private RDS Instance 1.Sign in to the AWS Management Console and open the Amazon RDS console. 2.Navigate to Databases in the left-hand menu and select Create database. 3.Choose your creation method and engine: For Creation method, select Standard create to access all configuration options. (The "Easy create" option uses private access by default, but Standard create gives more control). Select your desired Engine type (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and a suitable Template (e.g., Dev/Test or Production). 4.Specify DB instance details: Set the DB instance identifier, master username, and master password. Choose the appropriate DB instance class and storage settings based on your needs. 5.Configure connectivity: This is the critical step for a private instance. In the Connectivity section, expand Additional connectivity configuration. For Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), select the VPC you created in the prerequisites. For Subnet group, select the DB subnet group you created. For Publicly accessible, select No. This ensures the instance does not get a public IP address. For VPC security groups, choose an existing security group or create a new one, ensuring its inbound rules only allow traffic from trusted internal sources (e.g., an EC2 instance's security group or a bastion host's IP address). 6.Configure additional settings as required (e.g., initial database name, backup, monitoring, maintenance) and select Create #MyanmarIT#AWS #KodeKloud #100DaysOfCloud #CloudComputing #DevOps
