This SplashMaps 'Meet the Adventurers' film is an interview with Guinness World Record holders and SplashMaps followers, Reece and Matt the Sidecar Guys. Learn how they prepared for and successfully achieved one of the harshest and longest adventures every done using a SplashMap. In this film there are top tips on winning favour with locals, surviving extreme weather and where to get the best advice for your next adventure - big or small. In 2017 they circumnavigated the globe on a scooter and sidecar. It was a project to discover the generosity and kindness of strangers. Adventure was always upon them, created often by the many breakdowns they experienced on the world's most inappropriate motorised transport. Matt and Reece join us on Stand D66 at the National Outdoor Expo on 19th March 2022 at 2:30pm. Ask them about their adventures there. Rees explains how his SplashMaps saved his neck from frostbite at -45 degrees while crossing Siberia. Matt describes how the map became a communication platform in countries where they couldn't speak the language. Back home now there are books and films published about them and they even have their own Adventure Festival, The Armchair Festival, in Cornwall 22-25th September 2022.
