With this series, I wanted to explore some nostalgic old games that I think have qualities such as game design concepts or approaches that seem to be lacking in modern games. I think they were abandoned unnecessarily and could easily be brought back into modern game design without much issue and, in all honesty, could even improve a lot of games. This time, we're continuing the Assassin's Creed series, which we started with the first game, released in 2007. Something about playing this game just always makes me feel so nostalgic, despite its shortcomings. I'm coming to realize that sometimes we put up with games that weren't the best in the past because we simply didn't have anything better, and nowadays it's harder to really convince people to play them when there may be better games out there to play, but I still think there's value in experiencing firsthand what laid the groundwork for where we are now.
