Lift & Hoist International (LHI) editor Maria Hadlow, speaks exclusively to Tim Burgess, Owner & Managing Director at William Hackett Chains Ltd, and Guy Roberts, Managing Director of A. Noble & Son Ltd, at LiftEx 2019. In this video, Tim Burgess introduces William Hackett's multi-emersion single lever hoist with its patented quad-pawl design. The new product from the company has been described as a "game changer" by oil & gas industry experts. William Hackett claim it to be the safest and most efficient offshore and subsea lever hoist in the world. The QP mechanism synchronises a set of four pawls that constantly work together to minimise the time and distance travelled to the next point of engagement. A world leader in the development and manufacture of offshore hoists and chains, William Hackett launched the SSL5 in UK at LiftEx, LEEA's annual exhibition held in Milton Keynes, UK, in November, for the second year running. In 2020 the show moves to Liverpool. Guy Roberts, Nobles' MD, was at LiftEx to promote his own company, but as a distributor of William Hackett products in Australia, was also there to show support for their strategic partnership.
