The world considers it an elegant Baroque classic, but few realize that this "red-haired priest" concealed an incredibly ambitious vision within the musical staff. He wasn't composing purely string music, but rather attempting to transform the violin into a mandolin and guitar, pursuing a timeless, steely percussion and rhythmic pulse. Even using legendary instruments like the Stradivarius, their physical limitations in pursuing a lyrical quality make it difficult to fully realize the ultimate, granular "plucked" feel that Vivaldi envisioned. Deep within Vivaldi flowed the rock soul of the 21st century; he demanded not the friction of the bow and strings, but the explosive power of modern electric guitar shredding and the crisp clarity of a mandolin shattering ice. This project is expected to take considerable time and rejects any hasty commercial logic. Through the precise tuning of Aria Player and Musescore, the noble resonance of the Stradivarius piano is "digitally fused" with the heavy impact of the mandolin and Steinway piano.
