Anambra’s political landscape is heating up as Nicholas Ukachukwu emerges victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Primary ahead of the crucial November 8, 2025, election. The tightly contested race saw Ukachukwu beat out fellow aspirants Johnbosco Onunkwo, Valentine Ozigbo, and Edozie Madu in a delegate vote held under strict security at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women Development Center in Awka. With 1,582 accredited delegates casting their votes, 26 were declared invalid. The exercise was overseen by the APC electoral panel chairman and Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu.
