🌳 Learn Vietnamese Through Story: “Going to the Park” (Đi công viên) Welcome to Learn Vietnamese with June – The Saigonese! Let’s learn Vietnamese naturally through simple and fun stories! 📖 Today’s story: After a long day of studying, Linh wants to relax. She goes to the park near her house. She watches the ducks and pigeons, plays on the swing, and enjoys the beautiful sunset. Let’s follow Linh to see what she does at the park! 💡 Grammar Notes: 1. nhìn giống / trông giống = look like / seem like 👉 Có một đám mây nhìn giống con chó. (There's a cloud that looks like a dog). 👉 Anh ấy trông giống ba của anh ấy. (He looks like his dad.) 2. đang + Verb = expressing an ongoing action 👉 Mấy con vịt đang bơi. (Some ducks are swimming.) 3. cho + S + ăn = give someone/something food 👉 Linh cho vịt ăn vụn bánh mì. (Linh feeds the ducks some bread crumbs.) 4. Adj + lắm = very (used in spoken Vietnamese) rất + Adj = very (used in writing Vietnamese) 👉 Chúng ăn nhanh lắm. = Chúng ăn rất nhanh. (They eat very fast.) 5. S + thường / hay + Verb = often / usually 👉 Linh thường đến công viên để thư giãn. (Linh often goes to the park to relax.) 👉 Tôi hay đi dạo ở đây. (I often take a walk here.) 6. Từ chỉ thứ tự (sequence words): 👉 Trước tiên (first), Sau đó (then), Tiếp theo (next), Cuối cùng (finally) Example: Trước tiên, Linh cho vịt ăn. Sau đó, cô ấy cho bồ câu ăn. Tiếp theo, Linh đi chơi xích đu. Cuối cùng, cô ngắm mặt trời lặn. 🗣️ Pronunciation Note: The narrator is a teacher from Saigon (Southern Vietnam). To keep the reading natural and authentic, some Southern accent features are preserved — for example, 👉 “giống” is pronounced like “dống” 👉 “thư giãn” is pronounced like “thư dản” 💬 Level: Beginner / A1–A2 🎧 Practice pronunciation with the Southern Vietnamese (Saigonese) accent. 📖 Reading and listening practice with Vietnamese–English subtitles. 👉 Watch till the end to repeat after June and improve your speaking fluency! 📚 Learn Vietnamese with June – The Saigonese 🎯 Subscribe for more fun and easy Vietnamese lessons! 📩 Contact: [email protected] 📘 Facebook: LearnVietnameseWithJune 🎵 Music Credit: Carefree by Kevin MacLeod (CC BY 4.0) Source: incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1400037 Look Busy by Kevin MacLeod (CC BY 4.0) Source: incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1100172 Friendly Day by Kevin MacLeod (CC BY 4.0) Source: incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1100223 🔖 Hashtags #LearnVietnamese #LearnVietnameseWithJune #LearnVietnameseThroughStory #VietnameseForBeginners #VietnameseListeningPractice #VietnameseReadingPractice #VietnamesePronunciation #VietnameseLanguage #VietnameseLesson #VietnameseStory #BilingualStory #VietnameseCulture #SouthernVietnamese #SaigoneseAccent #LearnVietnameseWithSaigonese #TheSaigonese #ĐiCôngViên #AtThePark #VietnameseConversation #RelaxInThePark #EverydayVietnamese
