Have you ever had Poitín? This spirit is basically Irish moonshine and it packs a punch! In recent years, a lot of distilleries like Teeling, Killowen, Boann and Athrú have been releasing their un-aged whiskeys as Poitín, and this week, I'm showing Rose what that is! Poitín, is essentially just un-aged whiskey, which means it's along the same lines as White Dog, or Moonshine from America, but since Irish Poitín is often an unaged pot still whiskey, there can be huge amounts of fresh, floral tastes from the spirit, as well as huge variations between each spirit.
