This is Part 2 of my ocean-inspired resin art transformation, where I continue working on a paint pour I originally created four years ago and bring it new life with layered resin and texture. In this stage of the project, I added a clear resin layer over the ocean and water areas to seal in the movement and depth. Along the crushed glass border, I mixed a small amount of white pigment into clear resin and gently drizzled it to create a sea foam effect. Using a heat gun, I warmed the white resin to encourage lacing and wave-like movement. I may have processed the white resin a little too much with heat, but the result created soft, shadow-like patches that I actually love. Sometimes resin art surprises you in the best ways. The piece is now resting and curing for 24 hours. What happens next depends entirely on how the resin settles. I may add another layer of white pigment using less pigment to create lighter lacing and more wave dimension. I might add additional crushed glass along the border, pour another clear resin layer over the sky area, or even introduce silver leaf in small sections to add another reflective texture. This is one of those projects where the art truly guides the next step. If you enjoy ocean resin art, layered resin techniques, resin texture effects, acrylic paint pour resin projects, or watching artwork evolve over multiple days, follow along as this piece continues to develop. Sometimes the best resin art happens when you stop forcing it and let the process lead the way.
