Nantes & Le Mans Starting to make our way north now as we enter our 2nd week in France. So we stop off at Nantes at a camping car park, at Petit Port it's a dedicated stopover area with 15 pitches, and costs €14.96 per 24 hours with electric. Address is 21 boulevard du petit port, 44100 Nantes. As you saw this was ideally situated at the side of a Camping Site with miniature Golf, bar/cafe, and a tourist information office, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The Tram/bus stop is only a 5 - 10 minute walk and takes you into the Town Centre. After a peaceful night amongst the trees, we set off to Le Mans and another Camping Car Park called Saint-Saturnin it has 16 pitches and again costs from €14.96 per 24 hours, with electric. Address is Rue de l'Église, 72650 Saint-Saturnin, The bus stop into Town was just a couple of minutes walk from the site, and also a lovely little village to visit too. Yes it was quite noisy with the trains, but didn't hear them through the night. Once we got into Le Mans, the place took us by surprise and did not expect the half timbered houses, cobbled streets, quaint shops/cafes. Through a stone archway you can walk into the New town of Le Mans, with its modern shops, supermarkets bars and restaurants.
