This was first uploaded 2 May 2013 and was originally made for the Magical Vidding Tournament, round 4. It was also inspired by another video, but sadly that video was deleted and I can't remember who made it.) I've been dying to make this video, and the theme for this round finally gave me the motivation to actually start and finish this idea :D And pretty fast too (I hope I'm not annoying you with my vidspam lately xD)! I'm actually pretty proud of how this turned out, and I really hope you all like it. Judge's note: A.rthur: Orpheus G.uinevere: Eurydice The Cailleach: Hades The Disir: Greek godesses The story: A.rthur is the greatest king who ever lived. He has ruled Camelot fair and just, and is destined to unite the lands of Albion. He's happily married with his beautiful wife G.uinevere. One day, during one of their rides in the forrest, M.organa attacks the pair and uses snakes to kill G.uinevere. A.rthur is left completely devestated by her death, and cannot deal with it. He's willing to do whatever is takes to bring her back, and even tries to use the horn with which he was able to talk to his father, but this fails. The gods realise that without his wife, A.rthur will not have the strenght to fullfill his destiny. He visits them, and they advise him to go to Hades, and ask him to bring back his wife. Hades realises the importance of a united Albion, and allows A.rthur to enter the Underworld and bring his wife back from the dead. But on one condition: A.rthur has to walk in front of her on their way out, and he cannot look back. Outside, the couple is once again reunited. Later, G.uinevere becomes pregnant, and they have a son. In the end, A.rthur crowns him crown-prince. As you can see, I used the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice as the base for my video. I've been kinda obsessed with Greek mythology eversince I read the Percy Jackson series, and when I saw the Skins voiceover (the one telling the story) on another video, I knew I had to use it for A.rthur and G.wen. I kept the editing simple, because I felt like that fitted the theme. But I decided to change the ending a bit, because I know that if Arthur ever had to face this task, he would do anything to bring her back. Failing would not be an option. Another change I added was Orpheus/Arthur being the greatest king, not poet.
