Angry TMC MPs rain fire in Lok Sabha over remarks on CM Mamata, LS Speaker Om Birla intervenes

In the parliamentary session on July 24, a huge ruckus erupted when leading party MPs allegedly demeaned WB CM Mamata Banerjee and retaliating to the remarks, TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee took a jibe at MP’s marital status. During his speech, TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee criticized the Union Budget 2024 and targeted the BJP-led government alleging that they have not created enough opportunities for income for women and girls. He said, “I have no qualms in saying that BJP and women empowerment simply don’t align and is rather paradoxical.
