Built over 200 years ago, this stone mansion resembles a residence you'd see in a Fairy Tale, although its as real as it gets. in 1773, an Irish born man of 19 years of age crossed the Atlantic when he arrived in the British colonies. Shortly after his arrival, his trade from Ireland helped him get on his feet in the New World. His trade was in iron smelting, and soon his own Rolling Mill was constructed on the property, and we will be exploring the ruins of that Mill today. The mansion itself is an architectural example of what building a home meant to those in times before us. The detail in every door frame, a surplus of windows for illuminating the home in a world before electricity and air circulation. The main attraction of the home is not only the beautiful exterior, but the main staircase that greets you when entering the home. As well as 10+ rooms, countless fireplaces, and more timeless architecture, this home is already in serious disrepair, and will be demolished in the coming years, either collapsing on itself, or by the hands of man. Either way I'm thankful of the experience of exploring and documenting this beautiful timeless piece of American history and give you a look inside this mansion that wouldn't otherwise have seen the publics eye. Documenting historical places with little information or coverage is what gives me life, sharing the views my eyes see, and appreciating the details before they're gone, and preserving them for years to come, digitally. if you got this far and read all of that, Thanks! Thank you also for watching and keeping the spirit of these old homes alive! if you enjoyed, please leave a thumbs up, and subscribe for more exploring and historical content IG / dark.exploration Business Email [email protected]
