Located near the majestic Skogafoss Waterfall in Skogar, Iceland is the unique Skogar Museum. This museum is only a couple of hours from the capital city of Reykjavik, and is worth the drive primarily because of the amazing turf houses located on site. These homes, dating from the 1800s in Iceland, are made of sod and turf, giant rock slabs, dirt, and often salvaged wood from shipwrecks and boats.
