The Chalet house, built during the time of Sir Edward Gate, the lieutenant governor of Bihar and Odisha, in 1919, was initially used as a summer getaway for British officers. Lastly, The Magnolia Point is well known for its spectacular sunset. A legend makes this place special as a symbol of eternal love. British Lady Magnolia fell in love with a local Shepherd.
