Interview with Physical Therapist, Janelle Woodruff, PT, DPT, on Therapy for Parkinson's Patients

Janelle Woodruff, PT, DPT talks about her role in the Physical Therapy (PT) department at Meadville Medical Center, where works almost exclusively in outpatient therapy. She particularly discusses her role in evaluating PT patients for physical rehabilitation, but goes on to explain how beneficial exercise is for patients affected by neurological disorders and injury, such as Parkinson's disease and stroke. Part of this interview features Janelle working with a patient, and she goes on to explain in the interview the importance of caregivers in helping patients with neurodegenerative disorders receive comprehensive attention and treatment to develop and continue their therapy.
