This is a quick video to show you potential problems with HTC's new flagship VR headset(?) the Vive Cosmos. See the Vive Cosmos here: Best Buy - https://bestbuy.7tiv.net/gyqD9 Amazon US - https://amzn.to/2mVoK20 Amazon UK - https://amzn.to/2mTh00v Amazon CA - https://amzn.to/2nA0eUA Amazon DE - https://amzn.to/2piDCsd Amazon FR - https://amzn.to/2nIB8mc Amazon IT - https://amzn.to/2piF11X Issues include: A potentially flimsy design Lack of Mini DisplayPort adapter in the box AND one i missed in the video - the fact that the room you're playing in needs to be fairly dark. This comes straight out of the reviewers guide: "Cosmos’ proprietary inside-out tracking works best in a room with patterns or colors. Tracking will work better against a pattern instead of a plain white wall." My office is in a conservatory with white walls, ceiling and desk. The headset refused to run through room setup because it was too bright to track the room and the controllers. Not a problem I had with the Rift S. Find out more about the headset here - https://www.vive.com/uk/product/cosmos/ Include in the HTC Vive Cosmos box: The VIVE Cosmos headset, Link Box, DisplayPort™ cable, USB 3.0 cable, power adaptors, two Cosmos controllers, four AA Alkaline batteries, user guide, safety guide, and warranty card. Specifications of the Vive Cosmos include: 1440 x 1700 pixels per eye (2880 x 1700 pixels combined) Dual 3.4-inch LCD diagonal screen 90 Hz refresh rate 110-degree field of view Built-in stereo headphones Required PC connectivity: USB 3.0, DisplayPort™ 1.2 Peripheral Ports: USB-C 3.0, proprietary connection to mods Tracking: no minimum space requirements for standing/seated, minimum 2m x 1.5m for room-scale mode Module Faceplates: Vive Motion Mod (Ships with Cosmos) and Vive Cosmos External Tracking Mod (Sold separately) Vive Wireless Adapter support: Yes, sold separately Highlights to this VR headset include: Front panel of the headset pops off with a module design that can be swapped for something else. Flip up visor like the WMR headsets Inside-out tracking stations that mean no external base stations for tracking and a much easier setup process if you enjoyed this video, please consider subscribing https://www.youtube.com/user/theprovo...
