LAKE DISTRICT (part 2) // Travel Vlog Hello, you lovely people! The Lake District is an amazingly beautiful place in the UK, join us in this part 2 of our trip! Day 5: We visited Honister Green Slate Mine and did a mine tour where we learnt about mining in the area and about this mine in particular. We then looked at the amazing landscapes that could have been more interesting on a sunny day but that still impressed us. After a long tiring day we went to Ambleside, a wonderful village with the famous Bridge House, unfortunately already closed, to buy some groceries. Day 6: We went on a hike around Yew Tree Tarn, an impressively reflective water body that lead us to the top of Holme Fell, surrounded by bell heathers. WE then discovered a fairy-like reservoir that became one of our favourite spots in Lake District. After this we visited Coniston and had some wonderful cakes there! Day 7: This day was a bit of an unlucky day as almost nothing we had planned on doing was actually available! But we ended up having fun learning about the rich history of Cockermouth as well as walking in Maryport. Day 8: Last day at the Lake District! We decided to stop in Northumberland park to see the Sycamore Gap with the UK’s most famous tree as well as Hadrian’s Wall. The wind and the rain helped this walk become even more epic!
