SIGI Forge Montante sparring with Martin Fabian

After our visit to Bratislava Fecht 2024 we stayed another day. The Bratislava club organised a 5 hour post-tournament sparring session at their hall. We had the opportunity to fence many other participants and the organisers and judges from the event without the competition pressure. At the very end of the session I got to fence Martin again - this time with the Sigi Montante. I've never imagined that one could fence in relative safety with such massive swords but they've managed to pull off a nice balance of what such a sword should be while still having the option to spar with them. As we were both very tired at the end it is more of a light freeplay so I could feel what it is about and I really enjoyed it.
