This however is a taste of the intoning of Sound as is given in Sufism. Sufism is immeasurably older than Islam in whatever its form, and will outlive and surpass it, no matter how many Sufis, either historically or continually, would be murdered by Muslims. God is Love, Lover and Beloved -- Sufism teaches this, Christian teaching makes this clear and Jewish teaching at the very least suggests it. Sikhs, Buddhists, Hindus, Baha'is -- and practically anyone else persecuted by the advance of Islam nearly anywhere -- know this. Where is it actually taught let alone practiced in Islam or among Muslims? This has nothing to do with Sunna or Shi'a, as both are equally in very grave error. To reduce Islam to Shari'a and to make a religion and article of "faith" out of the latter is to ensure that no Muslim will ever develop beyond a 7th century desert Bedouin mentality.
