Условия очень простые: вы присылаете нам на почту любой медиаматериал, говорящий о срочной необходимости принятия в России законе о домашнем насилии: текст, изображения, видео, документация акции или расследование на тему домашнего насилия в России. Прием материалов - до 8 февраля. Жюри принимает решение, и 8 марта мы публикуем имена победителей. Каждый победитель получит приз - 1000€ от Российской Федерации. Each year, more than 14 thousand women and two thousand children die at the hands of husbands or other loved ones. How many more women must die in order for the state to pay attention to social catastrophe? Nadya and Masha spent two years in prison. About a quarter of the women they met there were women convicted of crimes related to domestic violence. For years, if not decades, beaten women could not stand it and cracked down on rapists, went into the colony for 8 years and got released returning to a broken life. The European Court of Human Rights found Pussy Riot’s criminal case politically motivated and awarded us compensation. This is our common victory and this is cool, but we understand that the money that we received was not taken from the pocket of Putin and his gang’s pockets - it is the money of the Russian people. And the money must work for the good of the people. Therefore, we decided to set up our award. The conditions are very simple. You send us any media piece that promotes an urgent need of implementing a strong law against domestic violence in Russia: it could be texts, videos, pictures, documentation of an action, or an investigation on domestic violence in Russia. You can send your works by February 8th. The jury select 3 winners. We announce their names on the 8th of March, International Women's Day, and we're publishing all the submitted works. PS: For reference, the average Russian monthly salary is €600 / $670, which includes the top 0.01% (aka Putin’s oligarchs), therefore making the true average much lower.
