However, adults can also get infected with the virus. The disease is caused by a group of viruses called enteroviruses, most commonly the coxsackievirus. The symptoms of HFMD usually begin with a fever, sore throat, and a poor appetite. Within a day or two, red spots may appear in the mouth, followed by a rash with small blisters on the hands, feet, and diaper area. The blisters may be painful, and some children may refuse to walk or even eat because of the discomfort. HFMD is highly contagious and can spread easily from person to person through contact with the fluid from the blisters, saliva, or feces of an infected person. The virus can also survive on surfaces such as toys, doorknobs, and counters for several hours, making it easy for others to pick up the infection. The treatment for HFMD is generally supportive, as there is no specific cure for the illness. It is important to keep the child comfortable, well-hydrated, and fever-free. Over-the-counter pain relievers and fever reducers can be given to ease discomfort. Most cases of HFMD resolve on their own within 7 to 10 days, without any serious complications. Preventing the spread of HFMD involves good hygiene practices, such as frequent hand washing, avoiding close contact with infected individuals, and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces. If you suspect your child has HFMD, it is important to seek medical attention promptly, especially if your child is having trouble drinking or breathing, or if the fever persists for more than a few days. ទំលាប់ល្អទាំង៥យ៉ាងនាពេលព្រឹកព្រលឹម | 5 habits make you feel good in the morning • វិធីសាស្រ្ត៧យ៉ាងជួយអោយឆាប់គេងលក់ | 7 ways... វិធីសាស្រ្ត៧យ៉ាងជួយអោយឆាប់គេងលក់ | 7 ways to make you fall asleep faster • គន្លឹះធម្មជាតិ ៧ចំនុច បំបាត់ឈឺក្បាលបានឆាប... គន្លឹះធម្មជាតិ ៧ចំនុច បំបាត់ឈឺក្បាលបានឆាប់រហ័ស #សុខភាពនិងជីវិត #hfmd #handfootandmouthdisease #handfootmouth disease
