We’re still releasing raw sewage into rivers and oceans in 2025. I made this video as part of the #DearJon campaign by @surfersagainstsewage. Why? Because the water system in England is broken. Sewage is being dumped into rivers and seas on a regular basis. Water companies are profiting, while ecosystems suffer and communities swim in uncertainty. Sir Jon Cunliffe has been appointed to lead the Independent Water Commission, which will decide how to reform this system. This is a once-in-a-generation chance to change things. Right now, they’re gathering public evidence, and this video is mine. Because I live on this estuary. And I’m tired of not knowing what I’m stepping into.
