Competitors: Audi Q5 What I have to say about the X1: The X1 is a great car for people who are looking for a 3 Series Wagon but don't want the wagon name in it and for it to not look like a wagon. The cabin space can feel a little cramped inside as it is a compact luxury crossover. At least the BMW does have the sporty driving dynamics that we have all known to love and it's luxurious interior. One major gripe is that while the X1 has a reasonable base price with options in it the the car can quickly jack up to near $50,000, which is very expensive. The gauges are nice and classic BMW sporty. Compared to the Audi Q5 (The BMWs only competitor), the Audi does have a cheaper price when fully loaded, but BMW obviously has a win over build quality and driving dynamics. This car would be great if BMW would just lower the price just a bit.
