Gameplay of Cometz Octobrush on rainmaker. So out of nowhere, 30 new kits are now in the game. So I going to try out every single one of the new kit, starting with the Cometz Octobrush. Octobrush is a short range weapon that does solid damage, has a wide attack, solid paint output, and good mobility. The kit is pretty good. Auto bomb is a sub weapon that will locate opponent when landing on the ground. If an opponent is near it seeking radius, it will then waddle toward the nearest opponent and explode once it next to them. And kraken royal is a special weapon that allow you to transform in a big kraken. While you're a kraken, you're invincible to attack, can swim or climb through enemy's ink, and can attack opponent. You can attack by either squid rolling, jumping, or charging your attack. Now there are some strength to this weapon and it's kit. The weapon is quite good at fight once it gets up close. The damage and kill time is pretty decent and can pressure over ledges decently well. And with it's mobility, it can close the gap against mid to long range weapon quite well. Autobomb is a nice tool for seeking out opponents trying to shark you and can also help in displacing or killing opponents. And since it's quite cheap to use, you have enough ink to spare to move up and fight. And kraken royal can help you continue the pressure. The kraken can help you survive for a little bit longer and can help in distracting and closing the gap to hopeful kill your opponents with a charge attack. You can even counter some special weapon like crab tank, trizooka, or big bubbler if used at the right time. Now there is some flaws with this weapon and it's kit. Although the weapon is good at fighting, the dps is as fast as other slayer weapon. The weapon consume quite a bit of ink, the damage get pretty weak the further way you attack from it effective range, and of course, it's short range can make it struggle to approach, especially against mid to long range. Autobomb is nice for displacing opponent, but it's not as effective when compare to other bombs. The bomb can easily be avoid by going toward it and then running away once it start to explode. And with kraken royal, you have to be really up-close to get value with the special. And due to how close you have to be, enemies can easily avoid you by mixing up there movement or keeping their distance. And the start up and end lag of the special is a bit long, leaving you vulnerable to being attack. So when playing with the Cometz Octobrush, try to focus on finding ways to quickly flank or shark your opponents. Use covers to your advantage to close the distance and apply pressure once you get up-close. You can also roll with the brush to evade or close the gap as well. Use auto bomb to seek out opponent and displace them and use kraken royal before entering a fight to continue the pressure. Just remember to not overextend too much and maintain your ink output.
