The old farmlands of New England are hiding all kinds of lost history secrets. This old place was a farm back in the 1700s and 1800s and totally overgrown with forest now. So I took my Fisher F19 metal detector and followed a cart path wagon trail way out in the woods until I came across old rock walls. I started metal detecting and finding melted lead that farmers would have used to fix things and then the relics started popping up. Old metal buttons hundreds of years old and even a spoon ! I then went exploring a bit more and walked through a swamp up onto a hill where there was more signals being picked up on the detector. These old spots would have been crop fields that the settlers worked over and over so they lost things while working. Relic hunting and metal detecting old places like this always makes for a great digging day and finds. Treasure hunting for the past.
