The creative director of Dragon Age attempted to do damage control for the Veilguard, explaining away why choices from old games didn't matter in the new game, which is something Bioware is known for. But the explanation only made things worse - it's clear that the devs simply don't care about lore, and only want to push their progressive crap for brownie points.
