Amazing Scenic OTIS Traction Elevators - Westin Bonaventure (Red Tower) - Downtown Los Angeles, CA

Filmed 10/22/25 Installed c. 1975 , modernized 1997(?) I got incredibly lucky as this is the only public elevator car in the hotel where you can access the higher floors without a key card. The other two elevators in the bank do require one, so if you come here and want to get a full round trip of the elevator, make sure you take this car. I have to say this is certainly a property to check out if you are ever in the downtown Los Angeles area, especially if you enjoy elevators and late-modernist/brutalist architecture. I spent some time after filming these exploring some of the other elevators and taking still photos on the atrium levels.
