When I was 19, I wrote this song about my first heartbreaks. I kept my song collection in an old, forgotten shoebox in a dusty closet full of relics from my childhood and teens. Decades later, I went through my stuff to throw it all away and I found this shoebox again. Curious, I sung the lyrics and the verse/chorus melodies into an AI and this is the result. I used to perform this song occasionally in college dorms and lounges to a few friends. It's a strange feeling to hear this song again, decades past my ability to sing it or perform it well. I know AI is a controversial topic among artists. At least in this case, I'm glad it helped me remember a small part of my story.
