Tracey made some of the best girl singer records of the '60's, and this one is one of my favorites. Once you play this once or twice, you won't be able to get it out of your head. The catchy melody and determined delivery by Tracey is more than infectious. You'll be saying "didn 'ya, didn 'ya, didn 'ya, didn 'ya, didn 'ya, didn 'ya, didn 'ya, didn 'ya" all day. The song certainly has a '50's rocker feel to it, and Tracey's singing displays a hint of Elvis Presley. Did not chart in Billboard, but released as a single in January 1965. The A-side of the single is often listed as "Blue Turns to Grey", but the promo copy of the record has "Didn 'Ya" clearly listed as the "Plug Side", hence it is the true A-side. Tracey is most famous for her Hot 100 charters including "Teenage Cleopatra" and "Gonna Get Along Without Ya Now". Produced by Bob Crewe. Written by Bob Crewe, D. Randell and S. Linzer. B-side is "Blue Turns to Grey" (which was written by Keith Richard and Andrew Oldham).
