Focus on the Electrostar: Class 377 - Part One

In this episode we look at the first four sub classes of the 377s, from the /3s which started out as 375s, through the /1s, the dual voltage /2s and the /4s. These units were introduced between 2001 and 2005 forming the backbone of the Southern fleet and facilitating the withdrawal of the slam door stock. All things being equal there would have been no more 377s, however we all know that there are many more and we will look at those and the reasons for their existence in subsequent episodes.
