Time to talk about how sharing is caring, even in board gaming! Sharing cards, that is! Drafting mechanics are pretty ubiquitous in gaming, and they can go a long way to offering unique strategic options. Here are my top favorite ones that specifically involve card passing and picking! A lot of the time, you'll see it as having a set of face-up/available cards, tiles, dice, or whatever that players take turns picking from. Alternatively, you can have a set of cards that gets passed from player to player, where everyone takes some number for themselves. In my mind, these two mechanics are relatively different, and for this video, I focused on the latter, as I find that it offers more intriguing strategic options, and less, but still vital, information about your opponents' plans. What about YOU all, though? What're your thoughts on drafting in general, and the games that I list here? Do you enjoy the mechanic, generally avoid it, or don't care? Let me know in the comments!
