Take a look inside a local North Korean bar on a Friday night in Pyongyang. None of these people are actors. None are "here for us". Just lots of people hanging out at a busy bar on a Friday. The Mansugyo Beer Bar also offers all 7 different kinds of Taedonggang Beer, all of which have different ingredients and flavours. (We had a hard time finding a table!) On my last trip to North Korea pre-pandemic, I visited Mansugyo Beer Bar, a popular local bar I've been to many times and one of my favourite places to hang out, since you can be around the Koreans when they're on a break and relaxed, chilling with a pint or two. Sometimes it's this busy, sometimes it's less busy, sometimes it's empty - just like every other bar in the world you'll find!
